Morning Paddle Boarding: A Glimpse Into Working Freedom

Updated: Jul 16

Working Freedom

This morning, I did something that reminded me exactly why I chose this life—I went paddle boarding with my family.

While a lot of the world was stuck in traffic, clutching takeaway coffees and rushing into offices, I was out on the water, the sun rising over a calm sea, and my kids laughing nearby. No emails demanding attention, no clock-in times, no meetings I had to dress up for.

Just peace, presence, and the kind of connection that matters most.

This is what working freedom looks like for me.

As someone running my own doTERRA wellness business, I’ve found a balance I never thought possible. I set my own hours. I decide when I work, where I work, and who I work with. Some days that means a few focused hours of sharing oils, connecting with my community, and supporting my team. Other days, it means putting my phone down and being 100% present for the moments that matter and I still need to get better at doing this but we are all on a journey with things to learn.

Freedom isn’t about doing nothing. It’s about doing what matters most.

What I love most is that my business helps people. Whether it’s supporting someone with sleep, stress, immunity, or energy—this work truly changes lives. And I don’t just teach wellness—I live it. I shine by example. I lead from a place of alignment, integrity, and self-care. When people see me living well, they feel inspired to do the same.

Working with doTERRA has given me more than just an income—it’s given me options. I’ve built something that aligns with my values: wellness, authenticity, and helping others. And in return, I’ve gained something that no paycheck or promotion can match: time.

Time for slow mornings. Time for paddle boarding. Time for connection.

If this speaks to you—if you’re craving freedom, purpose, and a life where you call the shots—I’d love to walk this path with you.
