For many years, I have embraced being different. I have always been the one to question the status quo and take a stand when I feel the need to follow an alternative path. This drive comes from my genuine desire to make positive changes in people's lives.
I take pride in being true to myself, confidently saying no when necessary, and following what feels right for me. Natural health is a core part of this journey.
When I discovered the potentially harmful ingredients in many products, I decided to stop blindly using substances internally or on my skin that were not in my best interest.
Did you know that some creams and skincare products contain ingredients that might contribute to cancer risk? Here are a few commonly found ingredients associated with carcinogenic risks:
Parabens: Used as preservatives, parabens have been suggested to have a potential link to breast cancer, although the evidence is not conclusive.
Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde-releasing Preservatives: Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen. Preservatives like DMDM hydantoin, imidazolidinyl urea, and diazolidinyl urea can release formaldehyde over time.
Phthalates: These enhance texture and spreadability but have been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer and other health issues. Common types include diethyl phthalate (DEP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP).
Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) Compounds: Used as thickeners, solvents, and softeners, PEG compounds can be contaminated with ethylene oxide (a known carcinogen) and 1,4-dioxane (a possible carcinogen).
Coal Tar: Found in treatments for psoriasis and eczema, coal tar is a known carcinogen.
Talc containing Asbestos: While talc itself is not carcinogenic, asbestos-contaminated talc can increase cancer risk. It's crucial to ensure that talc used in personal care products is asbestos-free.
Triclosan: This antibacterial agent has been linked to cancer in animal studies, though human data is less clear.
Learning about these ingredients was shocking, and I decided to find safer alternatives for myself and my family. This led me to discover doTERRA, starting my journey with them.
I didn’t just change the creams I used; I overhauled our entire medicine cabinet. Now, I help others do the same.
For the past six years, I have proudly partnered with doTERRA. The global impact they are making is incredible, and the role I play often leaves me deeply moved. Today, I received a message from Jane, who told me that she believes I saved her life. Struggling with severe respiratory issues, Jane couldn't walk up a single step without needing a break. With my support and high-grade essential oils, her life changed for the better. Jane feels that without my help, she would have been hospitalized and might not have made it out.
I am seeking more help. If you are a therapist or someone interested in natural health and want to help others by sharing doTERRA, we are growing our natural health community and looking for new members. In our community, we offer:

I share your passion for a more natural lifestyle Nicky. I first joined dōTERRA 12 years ago after attending an Aromatouch course. I simply cannot imagine life without doTERRA’s oils and products and I am so happy to have reduced the toxic load in my home by switching from chemical-laden products to more natural ones. It feels good to return to some of the simple remedies that have been around for hundreds even thousands of years. Nature holds the key to so many of our health and emotional problems. There’s a reason why the company whose wonderful oils we use is called doTERRA. It translates as: “Gift of the Earth”
10 years ago I introduced a lovely lady to doTERRA…
