Back in 2018, I decided that partnering with doTERRA was something very important to me and my family. I set off on my natural health journey, not just helping ourselves but also helping others discover the benefits of essential oils.
Along the way, I learned more about the people behind doTERRA the founders and why the company is built on purity, quality, and care. I wanted to share a little about them and how you can get involved too.

Who Started doTERRA?
doTERRA was founded in 2008 by seven people who shared a dream: to bring pure, high-quality essential oils to homes around the world. The founders are:
David Stirling
Emily Wright
Dr. David K. Hill
Corey B. Lindley
Gregory P. Cook
Robert J. Young
Mark A. Wolfert
These founders believed so strongly in essential oils that they personally invested their own money some even mortgaged their homes to make the company happen.
Why They Turned Down Outside Funding
Early on, doTERRA was offered outside funding. But the founders said no.
Why? Because taking money would have meant giving up shares and control and they weren’t willing to let anyone compromise the purity of their oils. Protecting the integrity of every product was more important than anything else.
Their Vision
From the beginning, doTERRA was all about:
Pure, potent oils - no fillers or shortcuts
Ethical sourcing - caring for the farmers and distillers
Empowering wellness - helping people make natural health choices
